Aparthotel Imperatriz

We stayed here last October and have already booked again for this year. It's a charming hotel right in the town center, and the rooms are roomy and have what you need to be comfortable and cook for yourself. The manager is witty and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was good value and had excellent service.

We found ants in the room, and staff service was uneven, some people were helpful while others weren't. The room itself was spacious and the small kitchenette was welcome, but it felt dated. There was no air conditioning or fan provided; you could rent a fan for a fee, which seemed out of place. On the plus side, the location was convenient, the price was good, parking was a useful extra though not included, and the rooftop pool was nice.

The room felt a little dated, but it was a nice surprise to find a kitchen and some dishes. I don't think there was a mini fridge. The balcony was handy for fresh air, hanging clothes, and smoking. The location suited me perfectly, with the casino, mall, corner shops, and cafes a short walk away, and a bus stop very close.

I can't really fault the place. We stayed three nights in January, and the welcoming staff spoke good English. Our room was a good size, with a sea view, small kitchen, wardrobe, safe, and a convenient dining table. It was cleaned every day, with soap and a hairdryer provided. The internet was fast, and on sunny days the balcony and third-floor pool terrace were great. La Vie shopping centre is about a five-minute walk away, and the connected restaurant downstairs serves breakfast for €6.
