Leaving was hard for both me and my partner. The apartment was spotless and had such a warm, cozy smell, with a lovely balcony and garden and beautiful scenery. Ian, the owner, was so welcoming and friendly. Thanks for the olive oil, too! This is the best apartment I’ve stayed in anywhere in Europe.

Ian is wonderful, and the apartment is fantastic, especially the gorgeous balcony facing the sea. You can get into the city centre easily, and it’s a great base for day hikes. I’d definitely recommend staying here and enjoying the views.

The hosts made us feel so welcome and were ready to help with anything. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the terrace had a wide ocean view with lots of comfortable seating. The city centre is about a 10-minute drive away. We had a WONDERFUL time at Vista Oceano and would recommend it 100%!

Ian shared tips on what to see around this amazing island, and the apartment itself had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was spacious, with stunning sunrise views over the ocean. The lovely people running this small casa welcomed me with so much warmth. Highly recommend 👌

The owners were so kind and made sure we felt welcome and had what we needed. We loved the pool and the incredible view over Funchal. Getting around was easy, with a nearby bus stop, main roads close by, and the centre about five minutes by car or a 30-minute walk away. We had a great stay in this charming place.
