ASPA Studios - Urban Conscious Living

Our flight was cancelled, so we ended up having an unexpected stay at ASPA, and it was really lovely. We especially appreciated the owners and all the thoughtful styling. The vegan and vegetarian breakfast choices were a highlight for everyone. Thank you.

We were on the ground floor on a busy street, but the windows cut down the noise enough that it never bothered us. The room was spacious, with a kitchenette and bathroom toiletries, and the rooftop lounge was beautiful and well looked after. It's central for the marina and lots of restaurants, with the old town just a few minutes away on foot. Breakfast each morning was filling, with a range of authentic options. The hosts answered my parking questions quickly before the stay, and we had our room number and entry code the morning we arrived, before we even landed. We rented a garage space so we wouldn't have to deal with finding and paying for parking each day, though there were plenty of spaces around. I'd still recommend booking a spot if you're renting a car on the island. Thanks to the host and staff for a great stay!

Luisa took so much time to tell us about the island and help us plan hikes, how to get to them, and where to eat. She was fantastic, and Isabelle, who cleaned our room, made us smile every day. The accommodation was beautiful and extremely clean. We could walk to plenty of restaurants, and even though they were close by, they didn't disturb us when we were resting or sleeping. The city views were incredible. We had a fantastic stay and loved everything about it. It really made our trip special, and we'd highly recommend staying here.

The self check-in was easy, though the front desk isn't staffed all the time. We enjoyed relaxing or reading on the lovely rooftop and patio, especially with evening drinks. The rooms are well equipped, and breakfast was really nice. It's also a great spot, around ten minutes from central Funchal or the waterfront.
