The SPA was clean, peaceful and lovely. My mother and I really enjoyed using it and having a massage with Maya and Anisetto (I hope I've spelled his name right). They were so friendly, very professional, and spoke French too. The massages did wonders for both of us. A really relaxing experience, and we're grateful for their skill and dedication.

We like smaller hotels with great service, and this quiet little place on a central Funchal street was just right. The facilities were excellent, breakfast had plenty of choice, and the staff were so welcoming. Lila always had a smile for us. Highly recommended, and we'll return. If you're hiring a car, the hotel uses two car parks. We used the one 20m past the hotel, in the disused grounds of a building. You turn left through a fairly tight entrance into the gates where the man is in the attached Google Street View photo, but it was manageable, with lots of spaces along the passageway. We didn't use the underground car park.

The rooftop pool and hot tub were a lovely way to unwind before bed, especially with a drink in hand. This old-fashioned, cozy hotel is right among the places you want to see in Funchal, with the old town, marina, city center and markets all within walking distance. Breakfast offered a good range of hot and cold options, and dinner was fire! The hotel has everything you need for a good stay. If something is missing, the friendly, professional staff bring great energy and will help you sort it out.

The location is great, and the hotel was brilliant. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and their suggestions for trips out were great. Breakfast was amazing, and dinner at the restaurant was really good too. There's a lovely rooftop terrace, and parking is a few minutes away.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. There was lots to choose from at breakfast, and we ate at the restaurant twice, with excellent food and service both times. The hotel bar was a lovely spot to relax after exploring the island. The pool and spa were excellent too. It's a beautiful hotel in a quiet part of Funchal Old Town, and our room was excellent.
