The host was incredibly welcoming and suggested Castrinhos, a great local bar nearby. Restaurants are a little farther away, though food and other shops are close. The spot is easiest to reach by car, much like the rest of the island. It’s very peaceful among the banana plants, with two terraces for taking in a brilliant view both day and night.

Such a nice apartment for a holiday, and the host was really friendly. Being tucked into a banana plantation gave us plenty of privacy, while shops and Funchal were still close by.

Set in nature but still handy for several good restaurants and Madeira Shopping Centre, the fazenda has three accommodations. The one shown in the pictures is the highest one, among the banana plants. It's furnished pretty simply, but it's very comfortable.

Such a peaceful place, with lovely owners. It was the best accommodation we could find, and we'll definitely come back.
