The place has an atmosphere that makes it feel like both a botanical garden and an art gallery. The people were really nice and helpful. A stay I’ll remember for life.

A large garden is available for guests, and the guesthouse sits 400m up the hillside with a fantastic view of Funchal. The bus stop is just a 3-4 minute walk away, so getting around by bus each day is easy. Breakfast on the terrace was superb, with many homemade dishes. The room was beautiful, and the hosts were wonderful. A great place for a relaxing break.

We had a fabulous view of the sea and Funchal from Ker Briac. The hosts were both so friendly and helpful, and had lots of tips about Madeira. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was plentiful. It’s a 15-minute bus ride into Funchal, with buses running until late in the evening.

The only tricky part was the road up, which may be difficult for an inexperienced driver. The owners were warm and welcoming, the views were breathtaking, and the room was lovely, with its own private garden.
