Magn lia Apartment by Atlantic Holiday

Atlantic holiday gave excellent service, with an easy check-in and clear directions for reaching the apartment. The place itself is good and well equipped. Still, you'll probably spend most of your time out enjoying this wonderful island, so the accommodation doesn't matter that much.

I booked Magnolia Apartments, Funchal, Madeira for 8 days and found the apartment roomy, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly too. It's a beautiful place to stay on holiday, and I recommend it.

There were five of us, but we only got one key, which made organizing ourselves difficult. Parking was so tight it was nearly unusable, and for €1,500 I expected far more care and comfort. The apartment does have potential: it's spacious, well designed, has two bathrooms, and comes with a washing machine and dishwasher. But the overall stay wasn't positive. Check-in was complicated because we had to collect the keys on the other side of town. Dishwasher detergent was missing, and even though we asked for cleaning, it never happened. We were still charged €110 for cleaning. There's no air conditioning, which made staying inside in summer difficult, especially with the busy, noisy street outside. The furnishings are sparse and the place feels bare. There weren't even coffee cups, and the bathrooms had no cabinets for our things. They're narrow, have no bidet, and aren't sloped properly, so water flooded the whole hallway.

The apartment felt modern and was kept in fairly good condition. Its location was reasonable, though cars made a lot of noise.
