The apartment was spacious and clean, and close to the shops, Forum shopping center and buses into Funchal city center. We rented it for a week. We didn't get to enjoy the swimming pool as we'd hoped because the water was very cold in mid-October, but I'd recommend the place for its location.

The apartment is large and comfortable, with big beds and two spacious bathrooms. Having a washing machine and dryer was a big plus, and the pool is free to use, sunny from noon until evening. There's a large shopping center nearby. Getting to the airport takes about an hour on direct bus 9, which costs 5 euros. Several direct buses reach central Funchal in about 30 minutes, though buses 1 and 2 only come every 20-30 minutes. Wi-Fi, English-language TV channels and a smart TV are available. The downside is the construction outside, which runs from 9 a.m. into the evening, but not on weekends. If you're mainly using the apartment to sleep and spending your time out, that shouldn't be a problem. I recommend it for that kind of stay.
