Next Savoy Signature

Our studio had ants in both the bathroom and kitchen. From the sea-view room, we could also hear a lot of street noise, along with the machines on the roof of Savoy and around the pool area of Next hotel. The hotel itself is central and has a funky feel, with young music in the elevator and bar. The guests seemed to be mostly young people, but we enjoyed our stay anyway.

We had an absolutely lovely room in this stylish, modern hotel. The breakfasts were excellent, and the location is especially convenient if you're staying before or after a cruise. I'd highly recommend it.

The service depended on where we were. Reception and the pool bar staff were friendly and helpful, while the rooftop team felt distant, hard to approach, and generally uninterested in guests. Housekeeping was a big disappointment too: the maids seemed openly unfriendly, and there were repeated bedding problems. Dirty sheets weren't changed, or the supposedly clean ones smelled bad. Toiletries were very limited for a hotel at this price. Outside, a strong sewage smell often made it unpleasant to sit outdoors. Getting between this property and the other Savoy hotels also wasn't as easy as advertised. The connection felt inconvenient. Our newly renovated room looked good, but wasn't practical. There was barely room for luggage, the lighting was awful, especially for makeup, and sound carried through the walls. The hotel photographs beautifully and has potential, but our stay didn't meet expectations. I wouldn't come back.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room and balcony were both spacious, and I appreciated that towels were replaced only when we left them on the floor. Breakfast was a big plus: it had high-protein choices like protein powder, energy bars, and granola, something I haven't found at other hotels I've stayed in. The hotel is right by the port and close to the city center, which is handy for a day trip to Porto Santo. Highly recommend!
