Gerardo is a gem, always attentive and happy to help. You feel part of the local community, and after visiting for three years, we're already planning to come back. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a real Madeira experience, though you should be ready for the hills.

The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and the apartment had all the little things we needed, along with a washing machine, garage, and well-stocked kitchen. It looked even better than in the pictures. Gerardo was one of the best hosts we've had on our travels. We had a great stay!

The location is a tough climb, so it's not ideal if you have weak knees. Still, if you'd choose a great view over an easy walk, it's absolutely worth considering. The apartment was clean, cozy, and a nice size for four, with two bathrooms and a balcony view. Fresh towels arrived every day. Five out of five for the apartment and service.

The apartment was amazing, with lovely decor and a fully equipped kitchen. Service was excellent, and the accommodation is close to the Old Town, the most beautiful part of Funchal. I strongly recommend staying at Palheiro Residence when visiting Madeira.

Every evening I had a date with the sunset, what a view! The host is such a gentleman, and I miss having breakfast on the balcony. We're already looking forward to staying at Palheiro Residence again.
