The main room with the kitchen was roomy and well equipped, and the modern apartment has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, so it works well for six people. The automatic parking gates made coming and going easy. But the terrace is tiny for a place this size, with no garden and barely room for everyone to sit outside. There wasn't a sun lounger, so we had to lie on the floor to get a bit of sun. Construction right across from the accommodation meant noise from 7:30 to 18:00. On one day, the water supply was shut off for a few hours because of the work. It would've been helpful to know about the construction when booking. There are barely any power outlets. These days everyone has phones and laptops, but the bedrooms only have two plugs for the bedside lights. The bathrooms have nowhere to put shampoo or soap, so we had to leave everything on the floor, which was awkward. The suite doesn't have a wardrobe either. A lot of these issues could've been avoided. I think the owner should stay there for a few days and see for themselves what needs improving.

It's about a 30-minute walk to central Funchal, and our ride back on Bolt was €3.6. There's a big supermarket in town with everything you might need for your stay. The yard fits up to three cars. Inside, we had a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, large American fridge, fireplace, and billiards. There are three bedrooms, a sofa bed, and three bathrooms, one attached to a bedroom. The view is beautiful.
