There’s plenty of room for a family of five, and the place feels bright and airy. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are nearby, and the big shopping centre is walkable too. A great base for a few days in Funchal.

The food selection was nice, and the pastries were actually pretty good.
