Sublime View Villa by Atlantic Holiday

The terrace view over the city is fantastic, and the villa has plenty of space: four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a huge living room, a well-stocked kitchen, laundry room, garage and exercise equipment. The main bedroom on the upper level has a full panorama of Funchal and the ocean, plus a huge bathroom; its mattress is soft and fluffy. The other bedroom on that level faces the neighbor on the left and has two separate beds. On the middle floor, the third bedroom also faces that neighbor and has a double bed with a hard mattress. The enormous living room opens onto the panoramic terrace, where we could sit for meals or a chat, and where the jacuzzi is. The basement bedroom is dark and scary, really only good for sleeping. WiFi works throughout the house. The villa is on a mountainside dead end, some way from the city center. We entered with a safe key and never met the host. From the street, you can reach the garage and upper level. The garage door wasn't working during our stay, so we parked on the street, where there was always space. The location also meant driving for most things. There's a restaurant within a 15-minute walk, but you'll need a car for daily shopping and fresh breakfast bread, and parking at the shops is limited. We stayed seven nights but couldn't use the jacuzzi because the water was disgustingly dirty and foamy. It hadn't been changed between guests. They replaced it on the last day after a special signal, but it warmed up slowly, so we didn't get to enjoy it. After 11:00 PM, we couldn't talk on the terrace because the neighbor on the left shouted that he couldn't sleep. There's no TV in the bedrooms, only in the living room. We asked to check out at 11:00 AM instead of 10:00 AM, but they wouldn't allow it. It's an excellent villa for peace and those great views from the main bedroom and terrace. I gave it three stars because of the problems with the jacuzzi, the neighbor and the other issues.
