The pool area was a rare find for an apartment rental in Funchal, and we loved swimming among the flowers and trees. The gated complex felt safe, and the apartment's spot on a little hill gave us beautiful views. It's still just a few minutes on foot from the Mercado, waterfront and centre of Funchal. Coming from Australia after a long journey, we really appreciated how comfortable the place felt. It was spacious, recently renovated, clean and equipped with modern amenities, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We loved our stay and will definitely book it again when we return.

The apartment is a good size, quiet and clean, and we went for a swim every morning. There is a construction site next door with two big cranes. It's also close to the bus stop, including Aerobus line 9 from the airport.

To tourists who complain, this isn't a hotel. These are private apartments and local residences, and some have been turned into Airbnbs. I see comments treating it like a hotel unit. Stop coming to Airbnbs, you're ruining locals' lives.

A great, quiet place with a lovely view, a swimming pool and a garage. It's close to the old town, though the GPS made it a little tricky to find 🤫
