We left Quinta Ponte de Capinha with very pleasant memories. The hotel was clean, cozy, and peaceful, and the friendly hosts were always ready to help, so we felt comfortable right from the start. It was a little sad to leave, and we'd happily return.

The rooms and bathrooms are roomy, and it’s a great spot to get some rest away from city noise. We stayed for three nights and were welcomed so warmly. Breakfast was top quality, with freshly baked croissants, local organic fruit, and that amazing Soalheira cheese.

The countryside location is wonderfully peaceful, yet historical sites and natural beauty are only a short drive away. We were also surprised by the dinners you can request: proper home cooking that could outdo any high-end restaurant. This is a beautiful guesthouse run by a lovely family, with fantastic rooms you’d expect in a much pricier hotel or resort. One of those little gems I’m really glad we found.
