The house has a lot of potential and a great pool, but the service needs plenty of improvement. We spent a week there on holiday in August, in a house the owner calls TOP. The pool water was poorly treated during the first few days, green and very cloudy, and it left green stains all over our swimwear. The bedrooms weren’t properly cleaned, and some dishes in the kitchen were clearly still dirty. There was also a fridge by the barbecue that the owner said we could use, but it clearly hadn’t worked for a long time. Outside, a wooden swing had been set up in the garden, but it couldn’t be used because it was obviously not maintained.

Bookings need to be made at least three days ahead, except during summer. Quinta do Ribeirinho is a modern house with four spacious bedrooms and a pool with a bar.

We had a quiet winter weekend with plenty of space and good conditions. We’d like to try it again when the weather’s warmer.
