The rooms were really clean, with neatly made beds and good quality sheets. The location is handy, right on the main avenue in Carvalhal. I’d recommend staying here, and I’m grateful to Sr. Avelino for being so kind to us. We had two very enjoyable days.

A very pleasant, clean place to stay, and the owner was really friendly. The restaurant was closed. One night cost €95, while stays of several nights were €75 per room with two single beds.

The welcome is warm, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. It’s the kind of typical beach-area restaurant you find along the Alentejo coast, simple but delicious and authentic. The clams, fried cuttlefish, seafood rice, and fish pasta are all good choices, along with anything else from the sea.
