The owner was incredibly frustrating to deal with, unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate even basic requests. During our stay, the power and water were cut off for the whole day in 40C heat, and the staff just smiled at us. We’d booked a bungalow for four, but it was one bedroom plus a couch, for £175 a day. The rooms were dirty, housekeeping was basically nonexistent, and the staff generally seemed incompetent. Given the service overall, I almost consider the lack of housekeeping a plus. The food was dreadful and expensive, with everything frozen, including the bread and vegetables. The “chef” was just some guy moving food from the freezer onto plates and charging €15 per dish. Breakfast was disgusting too, the cheapest and worst of everything, with frozen bread, and the ham had gone bad two days in a row.

There was no internet, and the bedroom furniture was cheap laminated stuff that was falling apart. There weren’t even basic things like a kettle, hairdryer, or bottle of mineral water. The cabin had no privacy at all, because it shared a common space with the staff. Waking up at 7:30 to find the cook sitting on our terrace in his underwear, singing along to his radio, was not pleasant. The “natural pool” was a small hole in the ground lined with a tarp, and the little water in it was disgusting, possibly a health hazard. The food has already been reviewed by others, so I won’t get into that. This was nothing like the idyllic cabin in the woods shown on the website.

It was pitch black outside at night, with no motion-sensor lights or any other security, and the wooden houses are quite exposed and isolated. A regular visitor told us this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. On our first night at the property in August 2018, a stranger we feared was a psycho trespassed, violated our privacy, and nearly got into our room through the back deck. The owner reacted in a very inappropriate, strange way, accepted no responsibility, and showed no intention of taking steps to prevent it happening again. We filed a police complaint, and the investigation is ongoing.

There was no cleaning during our three-night stay, and we found the beds full of spiders. The power and water were cut off for a whole day in 40-degree heat. The food was very bad and expensive. Internet only worked at the main house, and it was so slow we couldn’t even use WhatsApp.

Way too expensive for what they offer, and I definitely won’t return. The small houses have double beds, a tiny 1m2 bathroom, and no bed linen. The restaurant food was bad and overpriced, while breakfast was low-quality supermarket stuff with few choices. There were lots of mosquitoes and construction trash near the accommodation. There weren’t many staff, and they weren’t prepared to provide a good customer experience.
