I usually stay at Eurostars Santa Luzia when I visit Guimarães for work, and I've long thought of it as one of the most welcoming hotels I've stayed in around the world. This visit was a major disappointment. I drive an electric car and found two chargers in the hotel's reserved parking area. One was occupied by a car that wasn't charging, and another car was blocking the other charger. I told the front desk and asked if they could identify the owners. They said they didn't know and couldn't do anything, though they understood my frustration. Later, as I went to get my luggage, a restaurant staff member asked if I wanted to charge. I said yes. She explained that the blocking car belonged to someone dining at the hotel restaurant and that he would move it. A few minutes later he arrived, acting arrogantly as if moving the car were a favor. When I asked if he thought blocking the charger was acceptable, he insulted and threatened me, said he would block my car, and eventually kicked it. Hotel staff saw this and only asked everyone to calm down. Because of his behavior and the staff's complacency, I left and returned the key to my already-paid room. I plan to report this to TravelPerk, the company my employer works with, and ask that the property be removed as an accommodation option. It was unacceptable that the front desk made no effort to identify the car owners and that staff tolerated verbal abuse and damage to a guest's car by another customer. I won't choose Eurostars Santa Luzia again.

We had a wonderful couples massage, and it was absolutely worth the cost. Breakfast was good too, with a wide variety of healthy, quality options. The beds weren't especially comfortable. The wooden frames creaked, and the mattresses felt like old springs. The WC was also a bit dark and lacking light.

The rooms are small, but very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a lovely, relaxing three-day stay. The location was perfect for exploring the city, and the large pool was a great place to retreat when it got too hot. The reception and lounge area were great, and the staff were friendly.

We stayed on the first floor, where it was very quiet, and the AC worked. Our room was clean and spacious, and the service was good, with friendly staff. The hotel is right in the center of Guimarães. We booked spa access and enjoyed it. The water was warm, and both the pool and sauna were clean. Keep in mind that you need to book, and access is limited to one hour a day. They provided bathrobes, flip flops, towels and swimming caps. In the room there was also a hair dryer, towels, shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner and body lotion. Totally recommend it!

The team made everything easy, always available, welcoming and helpful, and communication about our needs was very easy. The hotel is a great base for exploring the small, walkable city. The room was comfortable, and we appreciated the AC in the high summer temperatures. The service was excellent, everything was top.
