There's no elevator in the building, and parking nearby is difficult. We did find a free parking garage about six minutes away. The apartments are small but very well equipped, with a refrigerator, microwave, ceramic hob, oven, blender, and more. They're right in the heart of the historic center.

It's an old building that's been fully renovated, and quite tastefully too. The small studios are in the historic center, on the square with Guimarães' liveliest terraces, so it can get noisy at night, especially on weekends. There's no reception, but they email you a code to get the key. We booked while traveling with children because we wanted a microwave and refrigerator, and the sale price made it an easy choice. Highly recommended.

I've stayed in the hotel, a studio, and apartments. The location is very convenient, practically in Guimarães' historic area and close to everything. But if you like peace and quiet, I wouldn't recommend it, especially during the Guimarães festivities in August.
