I was glad they had a room when my plans changed. I’d booked for one night, but after travel trouble meant I needed two more nights on Faial, I came straight back to ask and they could fit me in. The room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and there’s a good restaurant for dinner. It’s also a great spot by the waterfront, just a short walk from the town center. I really enjoyed staying here and would happily return.

We’d definitely come back. The staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and polite, and reception service was excellent. Our rooms were comfortable and lovely, and breakfast was very good. The jacuzzi had strong, hot jets, and the steam sauna worked well. Just remember to turn the saunas on about 30 minutes before you want to use them. It’s a beautiful hotel in a prime location.

We loved the harbor view, and there are lots of restaurants and attractions close by. The room was the problem: dusty, with dirty carpets and a smell of smoke, and it clearly needed updating. We tried to spend as little time in there as we could.

A big thank you to Marco and the hotel for the anniversary surprise. We’ll always be grateful. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the rooms were really comfortable. The location’s hard to beat, too, with easy access to everything whether you want to walk around the city or drive across the island. I’d recommend staying here.

We spent two nights here, right on the main waterfront street. There are lovely hiking trails, the marina, pubs, and cafés only a short walk away. The staff were courteous and professional, but breakfast let us down. The hot dishes weren’t hot, and cold, chewy bacon just isn’t edible. We’ll try another hotel next time.
