Lofts Azul Pastel

Rui was very kind and welcoming during our stay at The Lofts Azul Pastel Apartments. We had everything we needed in the room, and each day the young woman who cleaned it made sure breakfast was there too: bread, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. She was very sweet. From the apartment we could see the ocean on one side and the island’s hills and landscape on the other. We had an exceptional experience and would recommend staying here when visiting the Island of Fiail. Thank you for an amazing stay.

There’s a snack-bar downstairs for burgers and other quick meals, and parking is available. It’s also a quick drive into Horta. The hotel sits on a quiet road with fantastic sea views, and the room was very spacious. I hadn’t realized when booking that these were small apartments with kitchenettes, so it was possible to cook if needed. My only preference would have been to have breakfast downstairs at the snack-bar, with fresh bread and table service, instead of having it brought to the room the evening before.

The staff were nice and the view outside was great, though we couldn’t fully enjoy it because we weren’t able to sit outdoors. We waited 45 minutes for the food, and it was disappointing: soggy fries with no salt, an average burger and fish, and an overcooked steak. We won’t be back.

We’ve just arrived and are already speechless. Such a warm welcome, and being this close to the Atlantic is breathtaking. Yeah, I want to stay forever! Does anyone have long-term office jobs on the island for two men? Seriously!
