The reception hours were limited, roughly 9:15 to 17:00, and the pool wasn’t cleaned every day. The apartment itself was cleaned when we arrived, but housekeeping only came twice a week. There were basic things like pots and forks, though if you plan to cook proper meals you’ll probably need to pick up extra supplies at the Continente, about a 15-minute walk away. The bed and sheets felt thinner than I’m used to, and with just one sheet over the mattress it was uncomfortable, especially for taller people. The location near the center of Lagoa worked really well for visiting São Miguel: Ponta Delgada was about 10 minutes away by car, Ribeira Grande 15, and Furnas 30.

We had a horrible stay. There was no one from the property available to help us, and the place had no heat, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, or lights outside, especially at night. The sofa bed was disgusting, and the unit had no spare sheets or towels. We were told Ponta Delgada was close enough to walk to, but it was far away.

Parking right in front of the houses was handy, and a few nice restaurants are close enough to walk to. The pool was fine, the staff were nice, and everything was very clean. The houses themselves were lovely, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms.

The garden was beautiful and the location was good. The apartments were roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Great value for the money. I’m thinking about coming back.
