Apartamentos Marvela

The hostess was so kind and helpful, and we’re incredibly grateful for her honesty. We accidentally left a sports camera worth several hundred euros behind, but the host and staff found it, packed it carefully, and sent it back to us in the Netherlands. The apartment itself was spotless and fully equipped, with a lovely sea view from the balcony. It’s also right by the coast and close to the old town. Absolutely deserves five stars, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The balcony views were incredible, and it was easy to get to the beach trails. We had a wonderful time here. Our room was clean, and the staff were helpful and full of useful information. The location worked perfectly for us, about a 10-minute uphill walk from the city center.

We loved having breakfast and dinner on the balcony, looking out over town and the beach. Our second-floor apartment was spacious, simply decorated, and very clean, and the kitchen had enough for us to cook three dinners. Even in a hot month, the steady breeze meant we didn’t need the AC. The sunrise was lovely every morning. You can walk easily to the boardwalk, beaches, town, grocery stores, and other places. Sylvia was wonderful, sharing local information and making us feel welcome, and she and her colleague cleaned daily. There was some road noise when a loud motorcyclist revved the engine. We’d rent here long term if we could.

The staff were super nice, and the price was really good. Our apartment was a great size for two and had amazing views. I had breakfast each morning watching the sun come up over the Algarve beaches. The kitchen is in the corridor, though.
