Sol a Sol Hostel

The staff were rude and unhelpful, and when I asked for clean bedding, they refused. Someone had already slept in my bed before I arrived, yet they expected me to use it without changing the sheets or pillowcase. I tried to cancel, but they said the booking was non-refundable. That felt disrespectful and unhygienic. The place came across as badly managed and cheap, with little care for cleanliness, comfort or service, and cutting costs at guests' expense. It felt like a complete scam, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The whole hostel seemed filthy: dirt everywhere, sticky floors and a persistent damp, sewage smell. The building looked ancient and run down, with moldy walls and grimy surfaces. There was visible algae in the bathroom, and nothing looked as if it had been cleaned in months. My bed was old and disgusting, like it hadn't been changed in years. The room fan sounded like a broken engine, and with no AC the air felt humid and suffocating. A nearby bar played loud music until 4 AM, making sleep impossible. The fridge was dirty and outdated, and I wouldn't trust it for food or even a bottle of water. I've stayed in rough places before, but this was my worst hostel experience. Avoid it.
