Suites Inn Lagos

The beds were so hard they felt like sleeping on the floor, and the disco across the square runs from 10pm to 4am, with the party carrying on in the street. They don't mention that noise. The suite is spacious, the location is wonderful, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I wouldn't stay again.

The building is clearly old and has poor ventilation. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling and ants in there too, so I'm not sure what they can do about it. Still, the woman who checked me in was wonderful, I loved her energy. The balcony was a nice spot to watch life go by, and the location puts the best restaurants right at your doorstep. They give you a map with suggestions for places to eat and things to do. Good overall.

On my first night, I was glad to be right in Old Town, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. The terrace is cute, and they welcomed me with a free bottle of wine. But the bed is incredibly uncomfortable and needs replacing. I had to add a blanket for padding. The sheets are stained and threadbare, and the closet door came off its tracks when I opened it. Disappointed.

We arrived pretty flustered through no fault of the staff, and they went above and beyond, meeting us outside at the end of the street to help us unload, find the door, and sort out parking. The apartment was huge, more space than we needed, but it was nice to spread out. Breakfast was good, with an open-air view. Shops and restaurants are right in the middle of things here, yet it wasn't nearly as noisy as I'd expected. Great location and very accommodating staff.
