I was nervous after reading the comments, but it turned out to be worth it for our final night, especially with the airport nearby. The house is a former embassy in a nice part of Lisbon, and I felt some of the complaints were unfounded. Hugo, the attendant, was attentive to what we needed, and the owner was very nice. She laughed when I asked about the unusual check-in hours, which are only from 16:00 to 22:00, and said that's when their Portuguese employee starts work. Keep the owner's number handy. Our upstairs room was spacious and clean, with a great private bathroom. Getting to the upper rooms means taking the stairs. The lower rooms have shared bathrooms, which is not common in Brazil. Breakfast was included in the rate, though it was basically supermarket food. A friendly Ukrainian woman handled the coffee and cleaned the whole hotel. The location worked well for the airport and for good Lisbon restaurants. We paid 53 Euros per person, including breakfast. Maybe that's around the price of an Ibis Budget, maybe!

The area is pretty good, which makes this such a shame. The room was tiny and smelled of mold, and it was a terrible place to rest before or after a long flight, as we needed to do. Noise was the worst part. You could hear everyone walking, talking, and coming in or out. At 1am, a group was slamming doors, shouting, and laughing in the common area. It sounded like they were right in my room, yelling into my ear. Simply the worst hotel I've stayed in. Avoid at all costs.

This room was terrible from top to bottom. The sheets felt sticky, the walls were covered in stains, and there wasn't even a toilet button to flush. I could hear everything from the other rooms. The sink was ridiculously small, like something in a garage, and the AC remote was so dirty I felt disgusted touching it. The price was way too high for this experience. Don't stay here, pay more for a normal hotel. This isn't a place to host people.

An awful night. The place was impossible to find, the cracked single-pane windows left the room freezing, and I got bitten by bed bugs. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The management was terrible. Rooms only got cleaned when I kept asking, the soundproofing was poor, and breakfast was bad, with substandard products.
