It was handy having two metro stations, supermarkets, and places to eat nearby, and there was a pleasant shared lounge and kitchen. Still, we won't be coming back. We couldn't get hold of anyone by phone or email when the air conditioning stopped working on our second night, which was really warm. A technician came two nights later, so those evenings made us dread going to bed. The customer service felt almost nonexistent. Privacy was also poor: voices carried from the corridor and next door, the en suite toilet needed more privacy, and our window looked onto another room's doorway, so we kept it shut and got no fresh air. The bed linen looked worn and used, and seemed to be missing protectors. The room lighting could use an update too.

The metro is just steps away, and it gets you to Lisbon's city center quickly. The room was small but decent and clean, though we kept noticing a sewer smell. We booked a room with a bathroom, but it was really a shower beside the bed rather than a proper bathroom. The building is on the third floor and has no elevator. Also, if you're a light sleeper, the hallway doors slam regularly.

This is the first hostel where I felt comfortable and actually enjoyed my stay. It was very clean and family-run, with quiet hours that were properly enforced. The kitchen had the equipment you need, plus basic cooking things like salt and oil and fruit laid out.

I left some belongings in my room and got in touch with the property. They confirmed the items had been found, and at first said they could send them to the Netherlands if I paid the cost. After that, though, I heard nothing, even after trying to contact them several more times. My things mattered to me, so this handling of it was really disappointing. It felt unprofessional and not customer-friendly at all. I wouldn't recommend them.
