Lisbon Airport Hostel

They don't allow check-in after 22h, so I couldn't stay at the hotel. I asked to cancel more than a month ahead, but they wouldn't offer any refund. I lost 85 euros. If you need flexible check-in times, this isn't the place.

My two-day booking was cancelled at 00:04 after my flight was delayed. I'd completed the check-in form and told the hotel I wouldn't make it exactly by 00:00. Since the cancellation meant I couldn't leave feedback through booking.com, I'm sharing what happened here. I won't repeat their excuse about the neighbors, since I also leave the hotel at night. Stay away. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

At 00:10, they cancelled my booking without explaining or showing any understanding, even though I'd called from the airport and they said it was okay for me to arrive 15-20 minutes late. They'd also told me I had to pay the 60 euro deposit. I'd booked, completed the online check-in form they required, and expected to use a code for self check-in. Their first email said arrival after 00:00 was possible if arranged with them in advance. Since the cancellation meant I couldn't review the stay on booking.com, I'm posting this here. This feels like a scam, and like they'll do whatever they can to cancel your booking.

It's really an apartment split into small rooms in a residential building, with a very discreet sign outside. The location is good for a budget stay, just a few minutes from the metro, and I slept very well in the comfortable bed. But I was really disappointed by how they handled my pyjamas, which I left behind. I emailed and got no reply, then called. A man said they hadn't found them. I was sure they'd been there, so I went back. Staff then told me the pyjamas were “full of blood” and had been thrown away, even though they were in perfect condition before. I don't think they're honest with guests or careful with their belongings.
