TURIM Ibéria Hotel

The pleasant bar has attentive bartenders and shows fotball matches every day, and the receptionists are nice. Still, after many stays when I was happy to book again, I’ve decided this will be my last. Guest parking now costs 25€, and the garage is nearly empty, which isn’t surprising at that price. I’d also appreciate a small gym, even just a treadmill for rainy days. Management’s keeping an empty garage while losing guests. Well played.

We barely slept because the room was so hot, and opening the window meant dealing with mosquitos all night. Our room, booked through Air Canada Vacations, was tiny and dated. The temperature control didn’t seem to work. At check-in we asked whether the AC was running, and someone came up to switch it on because the controller was confusing. It was 22C outside, and our seventh-floor room was in the sun, so it got very warm. The next morning, the front desk said the AC wasn’t on because it was winter and told us to turn off the system. I understand that might be their technical definition of winter, but guests in individual rooms come from all over.

The room and the hotel facilities were very clean, and housekeeping came every day. The air conditioning worked well, and the hotel is just around the corner from an underground station.

The area was quiet and felt safe at night, and the hotel is close to metro stations. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory, though the coffee machine was outdated.
