VIP Executive Entrecampos Hotel & Conference

We spent two pleasant nights here. The rooms are spacious, the staff are kind, the location is very good, and breakfast was fine. I did miss having tea or coffee in the room, though. After a long day, that's something you'd expect and need at a four star hotel. I hope they add it in the future.

The bathroom's glass wall looks straight into the bedroom, so there's no privacy. The air conditioning barely worked, and our view was of a building site. We also couldn't use the spa properly: during the stated opening hours the facilities were switched off, some were broken, including the hot tub and the steps into the pool, and there were no massages despite them being advertised.

Breakfast was okay, though the machine coffee was awful. The pool and “spa” were pretty terrible too, and the bathroom in our room felt neglected. The hallways and rooms had disgusting rugs that didn't look like they'd been washed in a while. We were also looking onto a construction site, which isn't the hotel's fault, but our window was filthy, dust got in, and it wouldn't close all the way. Even shut, there was a gap big enough to fit a finger, so neither the dust nor the noise stayed out. It may look nice in photos, but for the price, Vip Executive Entrecampos isn't good value. You might want to stay elsewhere.

The place itself is good, but people seem to expect every tourist to speak Portuguese. Some speak English or Spanish, yet look at you with contempt. I think that happens around here too, not just at the hotel.
