Aldeia Azul

We had a great time here with our two little girls, aged two and four. The house was lovely, and they cleaned every day and made the beds. There’s a pool and playground nearby, and the location worked really well for trips to Lagos and the beaches. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay!

The resort itself was nice, and our room was clean, but dealing with Hannah was extremely disappointing. She was the reservation contact and seemed very attentive at first, yet when it came time to follow through, she didn’t keep her word. I tried several times to meet her after we arrived, but she wasn’t at the property and gave reasons for being away. When we raised our concerns over WhatsApp, she took offense and said she wouldn’t accommodate guests who were “insulting her.” She then insisted we stay in the room because she urgently needed to meet us, even though she hadn’t treated it as urgent when we’d tried to talk during the first week. Her lack of attention and professionalism was a real letdown.

We didn’t stay here, so I’m only rating the synthetic bowling green. Its pace suited me: fairly quick, but I didn’t need to force the bowl and lose my form. There were a few small straighteners, which I could forgive. I’d bowl here again without hesitation.

We arrived midweek with no booking and were given a great room. I really liked the place, which has the feel of a small boutique resort with around 30 apartments. The staff were excellent, there’s a lovely pool and activities like mini golf, tennis, and volleyball. The onsite restaurant is perfectly serviceable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Luz is about a five-minute drive away if you want to eat out. A few useful details: every room has a kitchen, and the mezzanine rooms face a garden while the others look toward the pool. Breakfast costs €10, less for children, and you can buy it on the day. If it costs more than that when you book, you may as well wait.
