For the price, it's okay. The restaurant only takes bookings in advance. We had to walk a mile to find somewhere to eat, even though the hotel was preparing food for other guests. I'm sure they could have made something for us, so that was disappointing.

The hotel and restaurant were fantastic, and the area is familiar to us. My family and pets came over from Boston, Mass. in the United States. The staff, food, accommodation, and location were all excellent, whether for a short stay or a longer one. It's family owned.

The beds were very uncomfortable, and the place feels old and in need of renovation. They said they were closed on Monday and wouldn't serve breakfast, even though we'd paid for a room with breakfast. The room price was far too high for what it was. They were friendly at check-in, but once we'd paid, that warmth disappeared. They should treat guests more kindly. I definitely won't return. The accommodation's reply to this negative review is pure hypocrisy. We left the room early to find a bakery for breakfast. We didn't even use the bathroom in the room. That says a lot about the standard of this place in Macedo, the town where I was born. What a shame.

The food was excellent, and the owners were very friendly. We were given such a warm welcome during our visit. Thank you.
