Aerostay Hostel

I was in room #3, the women-only room with four separate twin beds. It’s the only room with a keypad lock; every other room is mixed and has no lock, which bothered two women I spoke with. There’s no one at a front desk. My bed had fresh, clean sheets, though the pillow was tiny and I had to fold it to prop my head up. Light sleepers should bring earplugs and an eye mask. The personal luggage lockers were a good size and came with a key and lock. The upstairs bathrooms were cleaner than those on the first floor, but both levels were cold, and I didn’t see any heating. Each floor has a small kitchenette with a fridge, tea, coffee, and a microwave.

My first stay here, in September 2025, was quite good. This recent visit was a different story. The bed had used sheets with several marks that looked like blood. I called the number they provided, and they offered to give me fresh ones, which was helpful, but this shouldn’t have happened at all. The person on the phone didn’t apologize and seemed to doubt what I was saying. There was also a strong musty, mouldy smell as soon as I entered the reception area, and visible water damage in the first-floor common space.

The automatic room lights switch on whenever someone walks through, and that can disturb you while you’re asleep. Apart from that, I’d happily recommend this hostel. It’s a very quick walk to the airport, handy for flights at any hour, and the receptionist was helpful when he was around. Everything was neat and kept in good condition, with clearly labeled rooms and beds and roomy lockers that lock. It’s the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in.

Getting a reply on Booking.com or WhatsApp can take a while, and the bunks wobble enough that you feel movement from the person above while lying below. Still, the airport location is handy, the place has a modern look, and both the upper and lower beds have curtains.
