Guest House Boliqueime

A car is a good idea here unless you’re fine paying for taxis to busier towns. That suited us, since it got us exploring more of Portugal than we might have otherwise. The village itself is quiet, scenic, and not very touristy, with a pool for lazy days and a few nearby restaurants we liked, including masala mantra. There’s also a local Uber driver, so rides came quickly and weren’t too expensive. The apartments are cleaned to a high standard every day, and our belongings felt safe in the room. Electronic shutters let you open or close off the balcony.

We got good service for a great price, and the reception staff could help with the usual things. They also offer beer, water, and coffee. The rooms are modern and tidy, with a little balcony and strong hot showers. The pool area is fantastic.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will be back. The staff are great, the modern rooms are clean, and breakfast has a very good selection. There are now two pools.

The room was decent and the staff were friendly. It’s fairly quiet around there, with not a lot happening, and the price was good. I found the breakfast disappointing, though, so I wouldn’t add it to the booking.
