A lovely house with lots of amenities. The stay was very quiet and comfortable.

Really bad experience. On 19-02 they called me more than three times to confirm when I'd arrive. After I checked in and paid, the first thing they asked was what time I would leave, since checkout was by 12. The entrance between reception and the T1 house smelled of sewage. The bath towels smelled bad too, and they hadn't even checked the iron. I could smell previous guests on the towels, as if the place hadn't been aired out. There was no lighting at the entrance from the street. The air conditioning was on for no reason, making the house very hot, and the windows were locked so I couldn't open them. The unit was noisy, too. Nobody was there when I needed help, and the phone was switched off. I tried calling to ask for different towels. On the 21st, I left at 10:30, but there was nobody to collect the keys and the phone was still off. I left the key on the table and the door open to air the house out. Nobody should have to put up with other people's smells. It was already 5 pm and they still hadn't returned my calls. I paid €220 for a T1 in those conditions, with no breakfast included. They said it was 50 minutes from Serra da Estrela, but it took 1 hour and 10 minutes, a real difference. I sent a complaint by email and through the page. The area is nice, but the village house is awful.

It’s a welcoming house, which made the state of the cleaning disappointing. The bathroom was dirty, one toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and the windows were covered in grime. There was grease in the kitchen, crumbs all over the floor when we arrived, and spiders throughout the accommodation. Only the beds seemed to have been freshly made. Such a shame.

The breakfast was a letdown. Saturday’s fresh bread was the best part, but on Sunday it seemed like plastic. We also had a very noisy family of 10 staying upstairs. The house is welcoming, though there are things that could be improved, including the heating, which the owner controls.
