DO NOT CAMP HERE! There were no lights in the so-called campervan area, which was uneven, full of scattered debris, and had nowhere flat for us to park without levelling blocks. We arrived in our campervan at 5pm and were told to park beside one of the white electric boxes. We spent an hour in the dark trying to find a level spot. One box had been sealed with zip ties, with about 20 rusty nails sticking out sharp-side first. Around the area where we were told to pitch, there was a smashed piano, lino flooring peelings, bits of wood, and a collapsed circus-style tent. It felt as if a wild party had happened and nobody had cleaned up for months. A very weird atmosphere. We drove back up to reception to ask for our money back, since we really didn’t want to stay. It was locked, with the lights off, even though it was meant to be open for another two hours. We left without a refund. Maybe the yurts and wood cabins are nice, but it’s wild to me that they can put up a blue sign for campervans and tents at the start of the road. I wish I’d been able to take photos, but it was dark.

The area is beautiful, but the site seemed short staffed and poorly maintained. For 11€ I paid for one night, one person, and one motorbike, but got no receipt, campsite map, or instructions. A bit strange 🤔 The reception girl was nice. The shower was a nightmare, though. The water was scalding hot, and there was no tap to regulate it, just a push button. That seems like a serious safety concern, especially for children or elderly people. Some toilets were just holes in the floor, something you might expect at a motorway roadside in 1980, NOT at a paid campsite in Portugal.

A beautiful, peaceful spot right by the Lake. The bathrooms were clean and the staff were nice.

The staff were really friendly, and the chalets felt cosy. What a spectacular spot, tucked into the mountains. Thank you!

A really nice campground in a beautiful spot, with the lake and a restaurant nearby.
