A great spot to switch off. The houses are very clean, the pool is ideal for kids, and Mena was attentive and provided excellent service. Just be warned, the road to get there is terrible.

We went as a couple with our dog and had an amazing time. If you want nature, quiet, walks and a chance to properly unwind, this place is ideal. Cell service is poor, which helps you disconnect. With a bit of planning and some grocery shopping, you can settle in for a few days without needing to leave. The house, pool and terrace are perfect for relaxing, reading or swimming, and there are endless country paths to explore. The owner is lovely and around if anything comes up; you can work things out despite the language difference. On our last day she gave us some lovely fruit. Getting there is difficult because the roads are mediocre, not because of the house itself. It’s also far from the beaches and other people, so it won’t suit you if you’re looking for a social scene.

You’ll find the houses in a beautiful setting at the edge of a mountainous area. It’s a quiet, relaxing place away from the crowds, with lots of walking trails, a wonderful pool, and friendly, attentive people, especially Filomena, the owner. The tradeoff is the distance from beaches, supermarkets and other amenities. The nearest beach is about 40 minutes away by car. The surrounding roads aren’t in great shape either, and cell service is weak in some areas. A great choice for a peaceful holiday if you want to get away and disconnect.

The house is spectacular, set right in the countryside, and perfect if you want to disconnect from your phone. Just know that the roads aren’t great and you’ll need a car to get there and to leave. I highly recommend it.
