The hotel has just six rooms right in the village, and the owners are very kind. If you're driving, be brave and continue all the way to the hotel, as there are parking places. Our room had a balcony and was nice. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Restaurant choices are a little limited, but okay.

Free parking is just outside the hotel, and the lounge is comfortable. From the balcony, the views are fantastic, with eagles regularly soaring past. Breakfast was excellent, and the place has a relaxed feel. There's a good selection of drinks available any time on a trust system. The host was welcoming and informative, and the location is excellent for the town, castle, and views. Getting there means driving along a very narrow road through the castle walls. There's often a post at the entrance to the access road. You can move it by hand, then put it back. Just follow the Google maps directions.

We visited in February, when it was cold and windy, but the town was wonderfully quiet at night and in the morning before the tour buses arrived. Parking was easy once we made it up the narrow streets. The welcome made us feel at home, and the views were incredible. Breakfast came with delicious homemade jam, a nice start before heading out to explore the town.

We stayed for two nights at this lovely, cozy hotel. It's very close to the beautiful garden in front of the castle, and the view across the region is amazing. The people running it were so friendly and hospitable. Everything was clean and neat, and breakfast was a perfect way to start the day.
