We’re in the family suite, and the room is clean with comfortable beds. The Camino is only a couple hundred meters away. Our own kitchen doesn’t have everything, but the main kitchen upstairs filled most of the gaps, apart from a cheese grater. It’s a lovely place.

Paula really made this stay for me. My flight was delayed, so I arrived the next day and my booking was initially cancelled. The hostel reversed that and welcomed me warmly. Paula shared lots of helpful tips and even drove me to a wedding so I wouldn’t be late. Huge thanks to her, and all the best to her and the team. I’ll definitely come back. Fishtail Sea House Hostel in Matosinhos is very clean and well maintained, with a central location near the beach. The other guests were lovely too.

The hostel is quiet, and the staff were polite. My room was clean, the linen crisp, and the bed comfortable. The facilities were good, and the location was great for restaurants and the beach. Parking isn’t part of the hostel, but it’s very close, less than a block away.

A welcome stop for tired pilgrims. The bunk rooms are on the small side, but pillows, lovely smelling linens, and towels are included. Each bed has its own light and privacy curtain. The shared rooms are great, and everyone was very considerate and quiet at night while we were there.

I stayed here on my first Camino in 2019, too. This time, the bedsheets felt like something from a high-end hotel, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless. A few guests talking loudly at 11 pm was annoying, though.
