Hospedaria do Seixo

Good price, and there’s paid parking. It did get a bit noisy when I was trying to sleep at 1am.

😩

The place was filthy and badly run down, and the smell when the woman opened the door was awful. The bedrooms weren’t fit to stay in. We lost our money, but when the woman started getting aggressive, we decided to stay one night to avoid making things worse. There was rubbish piled up behind the building near the parking area. From what I understood, the owners all live crowded together downstairs and rent out the upstairs, which is in no condition. A truly dreadful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. It should be closed. I can’t understand how anyone could praise it or want to return 😡

We turned down the room after being asked for all our IDs, including our family record book. They said it was to check the child was ours and hadn’t been stolen. We found that request intrusive and didn’t understand it. The person refused to refund us. Great service, shameful. For cleanliness, a barefoot man greeted us, and the smell was awful. We saw his room briefly, and it was filthy and full of clothes. There were children’s autographs on the walls, which made the place look very clean to outsiders. I strongly advise against staying here. Thankfully, we didn’t sleep there.
