The bill came to €67, which felt like good value for the quality. Everything was fresh and delicious: I had cabbage soup, a grilled big prawn, and half a turbot served with potatoes and cabbage. Service was just right. I arrived at 7 pm and there were plenty of open tables. I came on the recommendation of Mr Gil, the host of my Duoro valley hotel, quinta casa amarela.

We enjoyed exploring the coastline away from the centre of Porto, and this spot was lovely. The seafood was fresh and tender, especially the clams and grilled sardines. The soup and bread were very good, and the flan was delicious too.

We didn’t stay here, just came to eat. Wow, the best octopus salad and grilled octopus I’ve ever had. I’d travel back just for those two dishes.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but both the food quality and service have noticeably slipped. The octopus salad we got was drenched in vinegar. And once, the lime pie tasted a week old, with a toothpaste-like texture. Completely inedible.

The vibe was a 10/10, and so was the fish, squid, and clams. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Best meal I had during my week in Porto. Love when a restaurant gets everything so precise, it makes the food that much better for people who enjoy eating. Anyone looking for a satisfying meal should go.
