The lovely grounds and building have a real sense of history, and Luso is an easy walk away. It’s a peaceful setting, and the people who run the place are what make the experience special.

Our dog loved the big grassy area in the garden, and the owners were welcoming throughout. We were the only guests during the low season, but they still turned on the central heating for us. The rooms were warm, the bedding comfortable, and the bathroom spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. An ideal stay if you’re travelling with a dog.

Our hosts were very friendly, and they invited us to use the shared sitting room in the evening to read or watch TV. We had great conversations too. He speaks English and French fluently. It’s a beautiful, comfortable old family home, with a nice pool and a great buffet breakfast.

We slept so well here, the bed was the best we’ve had in Portugal so far. The lady is super nice, and the villa sits on a beautiful hilltop property with a quiet garden and pool. We’ll definitely come back.

A lovely old country house, about a century old, where pets are welcome. The owners speak several languages, and there’s a housekeeper available to help! 😍👍🍾
