Longroiva Hotel Rural

The hotel and its shared spaces are nicely designed, but the apartments need maintenance and seem to have some design flaws and poor workmanship. That’s surprising given that the complex is owned by a construction company. With the climate and thermal use, the windows need forced ventilation to prevent mould. The location is peaceful and has nice views. Longroiva hotel has both rooms and apartments, and there’s a thermal spa next door that’s operated separately. The hotel itself has an outdoor thermal pool with underwater jets, plus a very decent restaurant. The food and reasonably priced wines are worth trying. Breakfast is served as a varied, abundant buffet in the restaurant.

The hotel is fairly basic, but we enjoyed our one-night stay. The pool was very inviting, and we went in both evening and morning. Breakfast was fine, though being vegetarian made it a bit more challenging. We ordered soup through room service for dinner, and it was surprisingly tasty and vegetarian-friendly.

The hot thermal water in the outdoor pool is wonderful when it’s cold outside. The spa hotel also has incredible views, fresh clean air, and amazing quiet.

What a disappointment. The thermal water facilities and spa have been closed indefinitely. The hotel now operates independently and only has an outdoor pool, which is in serious disrepair. They’re changing the name to drop the words "Thermal & Spa", but there’s currently no mention of the closure when you book. At some point they redid the outdoor pool, taking away the beautiful tiles. It looks nothing like the marketing videos they use, which are from 7 yrs ago. This seems like it used to be a great property, but our experience was a failure. We came expecting a beautiful hotel with thermal waters and instead found a sad, run-down place with minimal facilities.
