We ended up staying four extra days because we felt so at home. The host was amazing and even connected us with people who could help us move, which was a lifesaver. Communication with her was fantastic. The room was great and we slept like babies. Having the kitchen and lounge stocked and refreshed with food every day made working remotely a pleasure. Just what we needed.

Cassie was so friendly and helped with everything, from the check-in instructions to suggestions for restaurants and a local gym. I can’t recommend this place enough. I wanted a solo break where I could relax and explore while still getting some work done, and the location worked perfectly. The WiFi was excellent, and I could work from the rooftop. The sandy beach is only a few minutes away. When I went down, it was completely empty apart from a few fishermen in the distance. The communal kitchen and dining area had simple food items you could help yourself to, and I met some interesting fellow travellers there. The place feels like a little escape, with lovely decor, clean rooms, and gorgeous bathrooms. I felt welcome as soon as I arrived, but still had the privacy and space I like when travelling. You’ll need a vehicle to get around and explore nearby restaurants. I enjoy a quiet getaway away from tourists, so that suited me. It’s about an hour from Porto and a short drive from Aveiro, a stunning city with Venice-like canals and history.

The village was peaceful and lovely, and there’s a clean beach nearby. We had a very comfortable stay, thanks to all the care put into this hotel. You can tell they’ve thought through the small details and put in a lot of effort. The terrace was fantastic for watching the stars, and there’s a hot tub too. We didn’t use it, but it looked very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and included gluten-free and lactose-free options. The WiFi was fast, and free parking was available nearby. We arrived late in the evening and followed the instructions to check ourselves in. Our room was bright and roomy enough for two, even though it wasn’t particularly large. Towels, shampoo, shower gel, and other toiletries were provided, and I really appreciated the folder with all the information we might need. Nothing was left unclear. We’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was self-service and really nice. There’s a lovely rooftop where you can sip wine and look at the stars. The owner was very nice and helped us with self check-in when we arrived late. The only thing missing from the kitchen was a corkscrew.
