The food and animals were lovely, and the place gave me a welcome break from all the negativity going on in the world. My boyfriend and I had such a good time with the people running it. They're the loveliest hotel managers I've ever met, and we laughed and talked with them late into the evening. They gave us great tips for things to do nearby. You're a little outside the action, but can get to it quickly. They also do important work for disabled people in Faro, helping them have a voice. I've never felt so welcome somewhere. 10/10, a real happy place ☺️

It's not easy to find a place in the algarve where you can enjoy a great Sunday lunch and then pop over to say hello to the meerkats on your way back to the car!

We stayed for three nights in June and really enjoyed it. The pool area was lovely and tidy, with lots of seats and tables under umbrellas where you could eat. Our room was comfortable and neat, with useful things like aircon and a fridge. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including eggs cooked fresh, and there were tasty options for lunch and dinner too. The animals made the stay feel magical. There are macaws and other birds in large cages beside the pool, plus a field with all kinds of birds and animals. Sam showed us around, answered my many questions, and knew loads about the animals, trees and produce. He was happy to tell us all about them. He suggested we come back during a morning feeding, so we got another look at the animals and even spotted a baby meerkat! The staff and the two volunteers we met were all really friendly. Thanks to Sam, Matteus, Svetlana, Riley, and the couple who run the place. I love the Centre's mission and hearing how it started. Thank you for what you do!

The pool is beautiful, and the gardens are neatly kept. There's also a pleasant, simple dining area. The rooms are large and clean, though the decor is simple. Their en suite bathrooms have wide doors that make it possible to maneuver in a wheelchair. This centre was originally set up to offer suitable accommodation for handicapped children, and it also takes other guests when rooms are available. Very good value for money!
