We fell in love with this place after just one night and will definitely come back. It’s in a really convenient spot for the city, and check-in was easy. There were flowers in the room and a ticket from Ingrid, which was a lovely touch. The garden is beautiful and carefully looked after, with sunbeds for relaxing and fruit you can pick straight from the trees. Our room had everything we needed and was as clean and tidy as it could be. It exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it.

We stayed in around 12 places during our Portugal road trip, and this was one of our favorites. It’s easy to reach by car, with GPS taking you right there, and I only wish we’d booked more nights. The stone house near Monsanto felt like a little slice of paradise. Ingrid was such a welcoming host, and the breakfast she made was delicious. We loved wandering around the orchard, picking fresh figs and chestnuts from the trees, then taking it easy in the garden. Everything is maintained so beautifully. It was a really special stay.

Our Easter break, from 14-18 April, at Quinta de São Pedro de Vir a Corça was peaceful and welcoming. We brought our Golden Retriever, Nur, who loved exploring the grounds and didn’t want to leave. Neither did we. The quinta sits just below Monsanto, surrounded by nature, and the grounds are immaculate. The sweet oranges growing there were a lovely surprise. Ingrid and Torsten were warm, attentive hosts, happy to share information and have a chat. Breakfast each morning was special, made with fresh local ingredients. They clearly care about their guests. We stayed in Casa do Forno, a charming house with rustic character. One practical note: the AC/heat pump is mounted quite high. The mezzanine bedroom was cozy, but the heat didn’t quite make it down to the sofa and bathroom on the lower level. We were glad to accept that small quirk for such a beautiful, tranquil setting. Highly recommended if you want to spend time in nature and enjoy friendly hospitality and the charm of rural Portugal.

A fantastic stay close to Monsanto, with lovely staff and everything feeling good. The traditional breakfast was delicious. It’s pet friendly too. Don’t hesitate to book, and make sure you don’t miss the massage. A must-do!

The rooms are gorgeous and cozy, and the couple looking after the place are incredibly kind and work hard to make your stay as good as possible. The setting is incredibly beautiful and feels very special. The garden is a dream, with fountains, tables for breakfast under orange trees, and hammocks where you can rest to the sound of birds and running water. A beautiful Roman path goes all the way to Monsanto, an incredible village. There’s also a wonderful massage therapist who can ease your aches and pains in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!❤
