Casa de Pilatos

We spent a week at Pilatos House with two other couples. It’s quietly situated, with amazing views of the ocean below, and made a great base for exploring the western half of the island. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including kitchen supplies, linens, and laundry. Our host met us there and gave us some useful suggestions for meals and places to see.

The house is gorgeous, looks out over the ocean, and comfortably accommodates several guests. If you’re going to the Azores, I don’t think you’ll find a better Airbnb. I’d highly recommend it.

The location isn’t central, but with a rental car it was no trouble for us. We stayed four nights with six adults and three children, and there was plenty of space. Everything was clean, the kitchen had all the accessories we needed, and host Maria João gave us great suggestions for exploring S.Miguel. We even arrived to a welcome basket of Azores treats. The view is awesome, with breathtaking sunsets. We’d definitely come back!

The garden is spacious and very well kept, and the house itself is beautiful, with charming decor. We were welcomed so warmly. Everything feels unique, and we highly recommend it.
