There’s a nearby station, so getting to the center, which is a little farther away, is easy by public transport. The location is also handy for swimming or surfing at the nearby beach, with plenty of supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants close by. The staff were so friendly and helpful, gave me advice about the area, and made sure I felt comfortable during my stay.

The guests were mostly young and relaxed, so it was easy to connect with people. I’d have liked a couple more bathrooms, but that’s a small thing. The house is clean and looked after, with daily cleaning, and it’s in a handy spot near cute cafés and Carcavelos train station. What really makes the place, though, is the staff. They’re always smiling, helpful, and genuinely funny, and make you feel at home right away. Such a nice vibe here! I’m giving 5 stars to cheer them on. Keep it up! 😁🌞🐬

I really appreciated how open people at Villa do Sol were to communication, and the team’s commitment and respect for our volunteer tasks. I had a lot of fun, too, which I value. It was my first volunteering experience, and Villa do Sol was a very good place to start. The relationships with the team, the place itself, and the tasks I did as a volunteer were all very good. See you soon, and thank you.

The common room downstairs was lovely, with space to work or watch TV, and there’s a nice little patio too. The lockers are roomy, and the rooms were very clean. They cleaned the bathrooms every two hours, so they stayed sanitary. It’s on a quiet stretch in beautiful Carcavelos, about 15 minutes from the train. The employees were kind, and we loved our stay at Villa do Sol!
