Apartamentos Vale de Carros by Umbral

The bar staff were lovely to chat with, and the food was reasonably priced and came out quickly. But we arrived to a closed reception, and nobody answered the emergency number, so we had to find another hotel for that night. We got no room service during the week. We were told it would happen on day four, and reception later said our towels had been changed Sunday, but they definitely hadn't. They also wouldn't give us toilet paper. There's a €200 security deposit to pay before check-in.

We weren't keen on the cleanliness or the apartment when we booked a T1 here the first time. On our second stay, we chose a T0 instead, and it was a much better experience: newly renovated, with new furniture, and everything clean.

Great value for the money. It's a lovely little place, always clean and tidy, with a small bar and two pools. We'll be back 👍

We had a great week. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and they had what we needed as a base. There's plenty of space for a family, and the beds are comfortable enough. Both pools were clean and had a really relaxed feel. The shops, bar, and restaurant are all within walking distance. You can walk to the beaches too, but it's a fair way, so I'd say a car is definitely needed in the summer heat. I'd definitely come back.
